The family of a 14-year-old boy killed in a spate of brutal sword attacks has paid tribute to their "most loved and amazing son."

Schoolboy Daniel Anjorin was stabbed to death on his way to school in Hainault and police were called to the scene on Laing Close just before 7am on April 30.

Police were called to that address after reports a man had crashed his van into a house fence and multiple people had been stabbed.

Four others, including two police officers, were injured and Newham man Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, has since been charged, accused of Daniel's murder.

Daniel's family today (May 4) paid an emotional tribute.

“We as a family are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Daniel.

“It is difficult for us at this time to process what has happened to him and that he will never come home.

“We would like to send our best wishes to the other victims of this unthinkable incident.

“We would also like to thank the local community for all of their support during this most difficult time," the family added.
