A crime scene still remains in place after a robbery in South Norwood yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the robbery in Manor Road at 4.19pm on Tuesday (May 14) and a boy in his teens was injured.

It was reported that a group of men had demanded the victims phone, before assaulting him.

London Ambulance Service sent a crew to the scene and treated the teenager before taking him to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening and his family have been informed.

Two men were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident and they have been taken into custody where they remain.

A crime scene remains in place at the location and investigations continue.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.24pm yesterday (14 May) to reports of an assault at the junction of Regina Road and Sunny Bank, South Norwood.

“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated a teenager before taking them to hospital.”
