Hundreds of families came together for a huge picnic on a Sutton estate.

‘The Big Lunch’ included a puppet show, zumba, drumming workshops, and a bouncy castle.

Around 350 people were at the event at the Benhill Estate on Sunday, June 1.

The public picnic is designed to bring communities together and tackle isolation.

Pauline Nathan, one of the organisers, said: “We have held Big Lunches since 2009.

"This was our sixth time and it was easily our best yet.

“It is great to see so many people on the estate come together for a fun-filled day.”

The Big Lunch is led by the Eden project and takes place up and down the UK on the first Sunday in June, with roughly 4 million people taking part this year.
