A 14-year-old boy who assaulted a police officer has been given an ASBO banning him from hanging around with his friends.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, attacked the officer in Ivydene Close on July 5 and admitted the offence in Croydon Youth Court on July 16.
He was given a youth rehabilitation order that includes 30 days of community service, supervision and bans him from going out between 7pm and 7am.
He was also given an ASBO that bans him from hanging around with three or more people unless he is with an adult except when he is at school and stops him from associating with seven specific members of his friendship group except when he is at school.
