If you are new to all this, or even if you are not, we've put together a few tips for you, to try to help you have a fun and safe date.
Choose a place where crowds won't make it difficult to spot each other. Try wearing something distinctive, that way you can identify each other without too much trouble.
The first date doesn't have to be at a posh restaurant. Why not meet for a coffee or for a quick drink after work?
Consider agreeing to 'go Dutch' and split the bill before the date - this avoids uncomfortable situations at the end.
Of course, if you do make a date and need to cancel, show some courtesy and call the other person to cancel.
Don't be disappointed if you don't meet the right person straight away. There are lots of new advertisers & responders every day so relax, be yourself, and have fun.
Always arrange to meet in a public place, such as a restaurant, pub or local landmark.
Make your own way to and from the venue and don’t accept an offer to be picked up or dropped off afterwards.
Tell your friends and family where you are going and who with. Remember to let them know that you have got home safely - you will also be able to tell them how the date went.
Do not give your address, or too many personal details until you are sure that you want to continue with the relationship. Trust your instincts and don't meet again if you have any doubts.
Remember, if the person you meet is genuine, they will understand.
