Where to watch the skies in Kingston on bonfire night

Fireworks will light up the skies as families celebrate bonfire night with a range of displays planned across the borough.


Hundreds of people will descend on Kingsmeadow Stadium, in Kingston Road, to commemorate Guy Fawkes on Friday, November 2.

Hosts Kingston Round Table and Kingston Rotary Club promise a dazzling display of lights to music as well as a funfair and food stalls.

Doors will open at 6.30pm with the show starting at 8pm. Entry is £5 for adults, £3 for children ages five to 11. Visit kingstonfireworks.co.uk.


Berrylands Scout Group and Chessington and Hook United will each celebrate the historic occasion the following day, on Saturday, November 3.

The scouts will offer up a barbeque with burgers, hotdogs, soup, cakes and mulled wine at their headquarters in Stirling Walk, Surbiton, as well as a traditional bonfire and firework display.

Gates will open at 6.30pm, bonfire will start at 7.30pm and fireworks to start at 8pm. Tickets £7 adult, £4 child. Visit berrylandsscoutgroup.co.uk .


Fusion Fireworks return to Chessington and Hook United football club, in Chalky Lane, for the third year running.

The display will offer colour, noise and excitement, and gates will open at 6pm with action starting at 7.30pm. Tickets on the night, £7 adult, children £3, family £20.


St Philips School, in Harrow Close, Chessington, is hoping to raise money for the school, which caters for children with special educational needs at their bonfire night party on Sunday, November 4.

The school hall will be transformed into a dance floor and a raffle and firework display will also be on offer for the event, which will run from 5pm to 7pm. Tickets £5 for adults or £13 for a family.


For those who miss the fun and action over the weekend Cleves School, in Oatlands Avenue, Weybridge, will be celebrating Guy Fawkes on the traditional date of Monday, November 5.

Those who are even later can celebrate the following weekend with the 22nd Wimbledon Scout Group at Fulham FC’s training ground in Arthur Road, Motspur Park on Saturday, November 10.
