A giant gingerbread house topped with icing and golden sparkles has appeared in Cheam village.

Every Christmas a team of workers at Pouchkines Patisserie in Cheam create a gingerbread house to raise funds for the Royal Marsden cancer hospital in Sutton.

However, this year they went above and beyond their previous creations and installed a cable car and a train.

The owner, Selwyn Stoby, said: "This one is really uniquely special. Each year we want to better ourselves.

"Every year we take it to the Marsden for the children to see. It’s a lovely sight to see their eyes."
