Thousands of mini-artworks on display by David Bailey, Julian Opie or Paula Rego in Battersea

Thousands of mini artworks have gone on display in an anonymous gallery.

The Royal College of Art's (RCA) Secret postcard exhibition features 2,700 postcards designed by famous names, art students and graduates.

Work by Paula Rego, Julian Opie and David Bailey can be snapped up for just £45.

Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park, film director Mike Leigh and fashion designer Sir Paul Smith have also contributed to the gallery.

The only catch is art connoisseurs must have the ability to spot them among the other postcards on display in the anonymous exhibition.

Wilhelmina Bunn, RCA Secret curator, said: "We’re thrilled with the number and quality of postcards that have been sent to us this year.

"The breadth of artistic styles will make for a really stunning exhibition, with contributions by artists and designers from all walks of life displayed next to each other."

Secret, now in it's 20th year, raises money for the Royal College of Art Fine Art Student Award Fund, which supports budding RCA students with grants and bursaries.

All postcards are exhibited from March 14-22 in the RCA Dyson Building, Hester Road, Battersea, with a one-day sale held on March 23.
