Massive adventure at Brooklands Museum Mini day
3:23pm Monday 18th March 2013 in Freetime By Laura Proto
Fun: Minis are an iconic vehicle
Hundreds of tiny cars and their owners will descend on Brooklands Museum for the annual Mini day.
All types of Mini, including the modern BMW version, will be on site, with displays in all areas of the museum site.
For last year’s celebration, more than 1,000 Minis came down to Brooklands and this year, there is room to squeeze in even more.
From the oldest to the newest, this year’s event will see some of the earliest Minis nestling among the hundreds of Minis and their variations such as vans, pickups and Mini Mokes parked within the museum grounds.
As always, there will be lots of trade stands offering Mini products and spares.
Much like previous years, Test Hill will be in action with both morning and afternoon runs. Places are limited and advanced booking is required.
A Show N Shine competition will also be held, with prizes awarded for the top two cars in each class.
Dozens of specialist Mini clubs will be in attendance and to add a twist to the day, a best dressed competition will be held, with this year’s theme as the 1970s.
If that was not enough, there will be a free Mini Day 2013 car sticker for the first 1,000 Minis through the gates.
