I visited an Italian restaurant in London that has the most Instagrammable setting and the best arancini I’ve ever tasted.

If you’re a fan of aesthetic interiors and love Italian food, Como Garden just off Kensington High Street offers both.

I recently visited to try a selection of their Tapas dishes with my mum after seeing a huge amount of buzz about the business on social media.

The restaurant is inspired by the iconic Lake Como in Northern Italy, with a décor featuring earthy green tones with foliage and trees, along with Italian prints and fairy lights strewn around the restaurant.

There’s also a small bar area with a good selection of wines, spirits, Italian cocktails and aperitifs.

We started with some prosecco before trying a selection of small starter plates to begin with.

This included their signature Arancini with parmesan and fontina cheese and a honey glaze, and crispy fried Zucchine served with a creamy dip.

I will attest, being an arancini lover, I don’t think I’ve ever had such delicious arancini, the honey gave it a lovely sweetness and I’d go back simply to order this dish again.

For meats, we tried the pesto beef carpaccio with parmesan, and the marinated chicken with truffle sauce and mashed potatoes.

The final dish for this starter round was a delicious black truffle and 24-month tagliolini, which was one of my favourite dishes for the entire meal.

Despite being named a tapas menu, the portion sizes were rather generous and I really liked the variety on offer.

Moving onto the main tapas dishes, we tried the Seabass Alla Mugnaia, a pan-seared seabass with butter and lemon, along with Caponata which was a slow fried aubergine with tomato and roasted pine nuts.

This was served alongside some oven-roasted potatoes and home-made Italian bread.

The sea bass was definitely one of my favourites, the sauce was rich and creamy and the fish was flaky with a crisped skin.

Finally, for dessert it wouldn’t be a true and authentic Italian experience if we didn’t indulge in a tiramisu, and as someone who ate plenty during a trip to Italy this definitely compares with some of the best of them.

This was such a unique place and somewhere to visit for a special occasion, if you are looking for a restaurant offering sharing dishes and an aesthetically pleasing setting.

Prices for the a la carte menu start at £6 for starters, £9.75 for mains and £6 for desserts.

They are also currently offering a Happy Hour with 50 percent off drinks on Mondays to Thursdays from 4:30pm until 6:30pm.
