Following on from the Blues at the Mills festival that took place during Abbeyfest, the BB Blues club begins its new season at the Colour House Theatre this Sunday.
And fans of the club should need no explanation as to who the opening act is, with Robin Bibi having been a regular and ever popular performer there for a number of years.
Him and his band are one of the busiest in the blues/rock circuit throughout South East England with their energetic, exuberant and dynamic mix of blues, rock and funk with a touch of reggae and jazz.
Among the other acts to grace the weekly Sunday night club's stage between now and the end of the year will be Paul Cox hosting a tribute to Freddie King, The Ritchie Lane Band and Giles Hedley & the Aviators.
The BB Blues Club returned to the Colour House Theatre earlier this year after a long time away and is still hosted by Bob Brunning, though he is now ably assisted by another BB, Buffalo Bill Smith.
Robin Bibi Band, BB‘s Blues Club, Colour House Theatre, Merton Abbey Mills, September 13, 8pm, £5. Call 020 8542 5511 or visit colourhousetheatre.co.uk.
