The Rawhides, a rather frantic 10-piece party dance band, will be celebrating their 20th anniversary at The Bedford this Sunday.
Most of their material is from the Blues Brother films and other classic soul tracks and will be combined with an entertaining and interactive live act.
Here, they talk to Graham Moody about cliff top gigs, screaming dance floors and James Brown.
Name: The Rawhides
Line-up: We are a 10-piece hi-energy R&Blues Brother Revue Band on a mission to keep dance floors screaming for more.
Coolest member: Mad P Poppy and his sexy soulful sax.
Where do you play gigs: We've been playing acclaimed gigs all over the country for the past 20 years. From an open air gig for 2500 to a dinner party for 12.
Any really memorable gigs: Many, including playing on a cliff top overlooking the sea. We had to get a ride in a jet boat to get to the harbour in time to have our gear taken by horse and cart. No cars allowed on the Isle of Sark.
Next gig: For one night only, we will be celebrating our 20th year and more than 630 gigs by hosting a Jailhouse Dance party for all at The Bedford this Sunday. Those in hats, suits and shades get in free.
Fantasy festival line-up: All the acts and music we love are brought to life when the opening bars of the Peter Gunn theme start to pound and the prison gates open.
Song we wish we wrote: James Brown has written all we need so anything by him.
