Snap up vintage clothes at fair this weekend

Fashionistas can get their hands on some unique vintage clothing this weekend.

Organisers The Vintage Event have hand-picked a selection of top vintage fashion dealers to sell their goods in this retro event.

There will be around 20 stalls of vintage clothes and wares dating from the 1940s to 1980's for shoppers to peruse.

Visitors can also take a break in the vintage tea room, with music, entertainment and a bar serving food and drink all day.

Savvy shoppers at the event have the chance to gain a sneak preview into The Jubilee Special organisers have planned for June 3.

The Vintage Event are curating a vintage-inspired Diamond Jubilee street market and tea party to celebrate Her Majesty's 60 years of service taking place in the borough.

There will be 25 vintage stalls, a stage with music from live bands, swing dancers and old-fashioned fun.

The Vintage Event are increasing to rise in popularity, gaining a reputation amongst vintage lovers and fashion bloggers south of the river.

Fans flock to their pop-up style vintage events, combining retro fashion, music and entertainment for unique events.

Chanelle Ryan from the Vintage event said: "Balham is a vibrant and cosmopolitan town and this event will offer the perfect backdrop for people of all ages to come together.

"The Jubilee Special aims to recreate the community spirit and general zeitgeist of a bygone era, in celebrating all that is British. A fitting tribute to the past 60 years."
