Cane Hill Drive-Thru promise to give their all at their first gig at Croydon’s premiere rock venue.

The group, who formed in February last year, have just 16 gigs to their name, and are set to make a debut at the Scream Lounge after being booked by the venue’s promoter.

Guitarist Josh Allen was delighted to get the call.

He says: “It was pretty easy to get a gig there. They seem to have taken a shine to us.”

With catchy music and engaging chorus lines Cane Hill Drive-Thru have notched up appearances at venues including the White Lion in Streatham and others in central London and Wimbledon.

The group, who hail from Croydon and Sutton, started out by creating outlandish covers, altering the style of songs by Blink 182, Wolf Mother and Queens of the Stone Age.

Some of their favourite songs to play are Save My Pride, their own song, and Gasoline by Brand New.

Allen says: “We enjoy playing live and playing with other local bands. We have a passion for music.”

All four members of the group perform vocals. Peter Mills plays on percussion and is the lead singer, Josh Allen and Joe Blackford are on guitars with Daniel Whicher on bass.

Joining Cane Hill on the night will be the Programme Initiative.
