Dancers inspired by Strictly can take on the tango Dancers inspired by Strictly can take on the tango

Those inspired by the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing can learn the ropes at a new Argentine Tango class.

The stars of The Waldorf Hilton Tango Suppers are bringing their classes to Balham this month.

Tango professionals Leonardo Acosta and Tracey Tyack-King have recently revived the dance form at the hotel.

The duo have been teaching the art-form for many years, with their classes using a unique teaching method to get dancers strutting their stuff.

Students will not be learning standard, bland choreography, but the authentic improvised version of the dance.

Leonardo comes from a traditional Argentine family and was introduced to the tango at the age of seven, and was taught by his father in Buenos Aires.

Tracey has danced most of her life, with a background of ballet, ballroom and Latin American dance.

Both are passionate about improvised Argentine Tango and together have developed the Leonardo Acosta Method.

The London Argentine Tango School, The Bedford, Bedford Hill, Balham, every Thursday from October 11, 7pm-7.45pm, £9 intial class, £10 per week after, visit lat-s.co.uk or call 07702 081529 for more information
