There will be a book signing at Yeha Noha Café this Friday.

Acklima Akbar draws on her past experiences as a manager in the NHS and looks at the decision making that goes on in the NHS.

The book is fictional and is described as a satirical expose on crisis management in hospitals.

A new Croydon Radio show is being aired this week.

The Planet Croydon radio show is a weekly show bringing the latest information on Croydon’s music scene.

For the first time, the show is starting a new regular showcase at Scream Lounge, which takes place on the first Friday at each month.

Splinter Group, Frauds and The Android Angel are the bands taking part in the event.

A Croydon Pub is hosting a charity metal weekend.

The Green Dragon are having two nights of music on Friday July 5 and Saturday July 6.

There are a host of live bands playing, as well as a raffle which could see you win some vouchers donated by Steel Point Tattoos and Time Bomb.

American singer-songwriters Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby iare performing in Croydon next Monday.

 

The pair’s Alice’s Song was a Highlight of the Year on Aled Jones’ BBC Radio 2 show. Craig was also a guest on Simon Mayo’s show on Radio 2.

It is the Riddlesdown Collegiate summer festival next weekend.

This year the popular event features fairground rides, beat the keeper, inflatable assault course, food, free parking onsite plus other rides and attractions.

Cider fans will be able to enjoy a range of draught ciders from around the British Isles at a borough wide cider festival this month.

Ten Wetherspoons pubs in Croydon will be showcasing a range of ciders from July 10 to July 28. The pubs will each offer 16 draught ciders over the 19 days.

 


Guided tours of the Crystal Palace Museum will be taking place this Sunday.

As well as seeing many relics of the site’s industrial and social heritage, the tour will include the gruesome tale which led to the railway tunnel under the museum to be haunted.

It will be zombie mayhem at the BRIT School next Monday.

The school are inviting Selhurst residents to their free theatrical cinema event, which is based around the comedy Shaun of the Dead.
