For a risqué exhibition with more than meets the eye visit Your Tongue In My Mouth.
Alexis Hunter’s The Model’s Revenge I-III snapped in 1974 shows a woman’s breasts with her hands clasping a gun directed at the camera while John Akomfrah’s film The Stuart Hall Project, uses archive television news and interviews to tell a story.
These especially chosen pieces showcase life through gender, ethnicity and class with works ranging from the 1970s through to more contemporary times.
The pieces have been put together by curator and Kingston University student Esther Windsor.
The exhibition will accompany Windsor’s curatorial PhD research project titled Ugly Beast, telling the story of a series of art world characters such as a teacher, an artist, a dealer and a gallery director - all sat on the therapist’s sofa.
