Settle down with a pint and a movie at the Spread Eagle Pub this month as the David Lean Cinema Campaign goes on tour to present its July season of films.

Five movies will be shown throughout the month, with the first film, Hitchcock, airing on Monday.

The season also includes Broken, which was named Best Film at the 2012 British Independent Film Awards, and the entertaining Pitch Perfect, about an all-girl college singing group.

Campaign chairman Adrian Winchester said: "Our July programme should provide something for everyone to enjoy.

"We hope Pitch Perfect will attract discerning teenagers, as a reopened David Lean Cinema will need supporters of all ages."

The sixth film is the Campaign’s festivals tour screening of Terence Malick’s To the Wonder for South Norwood Arts Festival, at the Harris Academy on July 10.
