Pie-makers of Putney, sifters of Southfields, egg washers of Earlsfield and bakers of Battersea get your mixing bowls ready for the Wandsworth Bake Off.

Local HIV charity Wandsworth Oasis and community radio station Wandsworth Radio are putting on a baking competition like the hit TV show.

The competition will judged by three local celebrity bakers, Dan Lepard, Laura Amos and Eric Lanlard.

Lanlard says: "I'm looking forward to judging the local bakes - I'm hoping to spot some fresh talent - let the baking begin."

Tooting-based Dan Lepard is a judge on the Great Australian Bake Off and Laura Amos owns the Dessert Deli which has a stall in Northcote Road and in Selfridges Food Hall.

There are six categories, cakes, cupcakes, tray-bakes, bread, biscuits and a full afternoon tea. Entry is open to bakers of any skill level.

The judges are also looking for seven to 11-year-olds and 12 to 16-year-olds to take part by making 12 cupcakes or biscuits or a tray-bake.

Prizes will be handed out for the best in each category, and the star baker will be awarded by the judges.

All bakes will be sold with all the money going to Wandsworth Oasis and Wandsworth Radio.
