An acclaimed Crystal Palace food writer launched her latest book in Upper Norwood last week.
Rachel de Thample celebrated her 39th birthday and released her new cookbook Five at Bookseller Crow in Westow Street on Thursday (February 12).
The writer - who has worked in the kitchens of Marco Pierre White, Heston Blumenthal and Peter Gordon – helped set up the town’s food market in Haynes Lane and the edible garden in Westow Park.
MORE FOOD AND DRINK:
She has previously written Less Meat More Veg.
Her book Five was described by Sunday People Magazine as ‘a brilliant and easy guide to incorporating the recommended five-a-day of fruit and veg into your daily diet’.
BBC Good Food Magazine also called it a ‘treasure trove’ and it contains 150 ‘effortless ways’ to make sure you eat five or more portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
