Food and beer tasting at Sharp’s secret bar, off Brick Lane
The award-winning team who make Doom Bar will run VIP food and beer pairing sessions at Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane during London Beer Week. The sessions, three a day from Monday to Friday, will be hosted by beer sommeliers with food curated by the team of Cornwall-based Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw. Fuller’s, Chiswick
London Pride makers Fuller’s Griffin Brewery has been crafting beer for more than 160 years and had plenty of tales to tell. The tours take you behind the scenes with an expert guide sharing the history, followed by a tutored tasting. £12. Go to fullers.co.uk
Meantime, Greenwich
The excellent Greenwich craft brewer regularly welcomes beer fans for tours of its state-of-the-art brewery followed by fascinating tutored tastings in hospitable surroundings. The classic tour costs £20. For London Beer Week, Meantime is hosting special Beer and Cheese Tasting on February 23, and exclusive tour on February 25 and a full-day ‘The Knowledge’ brewing masterclass on February 26. London Brewery Tours
What’s better than touring one brewery? Touring lots of breweries, of course. Highly rated on TripAdvisor, London Brewery Tours gives drinkers the chance to discover some of London’s best craft beers with tours and tastings around Bermondsey, Southwark and other parts of London. London Fields Brewery
London Fields has been creating great craft beers for a while over in Hackney and you can take a tour with tasting, homebrewing classes, beer and food pairings and a half-day ‘Craft Brewery Experience’, which includes a tour, demonstration, food and beer tasting and a gift pack to take home. Wimbledon Brewery
Merton’s very own brewery creates the likes of Common Pale Ale and Tower SPA and also hosts events such as screenings of the Six Nations rugby hosted by World Cup winner Will Greenwood.
