Foodies invited to try something new at food festival
Foodies are being invited to try something new as restaurants, bars, pub and cafés collaborate for a week-long festival.
Each of the venues participating in The Fabulous Feast, in St John's Hill, Battersea, are offering customers a set menu for just £15 per head.
The festival kicks off with a visit from celebrity chef Ben Spalding who will cook a pop-up evening meal in Ben's Canteen.
Diners will be served a four course meal, served in supper club style with everyone eating at the same time from 7.30pm.
Places must be booked for this one-off event, costing £50 per head.
Other highlights include an open kitchen event on May 19, when the road will be filled with live food and drink events including demos, tastings, talks and classes.
Venues will be showing off their food and drinks offerings, demonstrating how they create their culinary delights to the public.
The FishClub plan to host four workshops throughout the day, educating participants how to prepare, cook and serve a dish.
There will also be a Victorian conjurer, punch bowl tastings and live jazz by the Dalston Duet from 5pm-6pm.
From May 17-20 The Plough are hosting an indoor festival, including DJs, live bands, face painting and Kopparberg cider taste testing.
If you still have room for more feasting sample Asian cuisine in Curry Leaf or experience Sri Lankan high tea from Experience Travel.
