Last September Epsom’s very own musician Elio Pace was invited to fill Billy Joel’s shoes starring in two very special reunion concerts in New York and Philadelphia with Joel’s original 1971-72 touring band, recreating the historic Sigma Sounds live recordings.

Elio is now about to embark on THE very first ever UK Billy Joel Songbook theatre tour and will be stopping off in his home town to perform at the Epsom Playhouse on Thursday 24 April.

With Billy Joel’s reluctance to tour the world anymore, there are many fans out there that have never had the opportunity to hear his music live. This UK tour will give everyone a fantastic opportunity to hear his wonderful songbook played and sung by the brilliant Elio Pace and his magnificent five piece band.

Commenting on performing again in his home town Elio said: "I feel privileged and excited at being the very first person to bring a dedicated show of Billy Joel's beautiful songs to theatres around the UK. And I'm over the moon that my local theatre, the Epsom Playhouse, is part of this very first tour. I drive past the theatre every other day when I'm not working so there's a wonderful sense of familiarity and home about it which will no doubt make for a fantastic atmosphere when I play there in April."

Performing every Sunday with his band on Terry Wogan’s Weekend Wogan Show on BBC Radio 2 has brought Elio to the attention of the nation. The shows, which were transmitted live from the BBC Radio Theatre in Central London in front of a studio audience, feature live music from Elio and his band plus celebrity artists and guests. Elio is in great demand as a pianist and performer worldwide.
