The Tones are a four-piece mod-rock band with a combined age of 73.
The band formed in 2012, and are set to tour with The Specials from the end of October.
Carshalton Boys student Dan Foreman, 16, plays guitar and provides backing vocals.
Their sound is heavily inspired by mod-legends like The Who, The Jam and The Small Faces.
They are also influenced by more contemporary artists such as Oasis and The Arctic Monkeys.
Lead singer and guitarist Jake Cunningham hails from Epsom, while 15-year-old drummer James Morris is from Stoneleigh.
Bassist Henry Jenkins is from North London.
Since February this year the band has been playing in venues all over the capital, and also performed at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool where The Beatles cut their teeth.
After one of their gigs The Specials guitarist Lynval Golding jumped on stage, and promised he would get the band performing in front of bigger audiences.
The Tones will support the ska-legends from October 30th at a show in Norwich.
They will then embark on a UK tour that will see them pass through Brighton, Bournemouth, Belfast and Dublin.
Dan said: “The Special’s are one of the biggest names in British music, it is an absolutely honour to be playing with them.
“Performing is when we come into our own, the audience always buzz of us and we buzz off them.”
The Tones are working on an EP called Simplicity, which is set for release later in the year.
