Seven acts will become five, with the one with the least viewers’ votes leaving on the Saturday show, followed by another after a sing-off on Sunday.

Judges Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini could find themselves without a contestant if their acts Andrea Faustini and Lauren Platt leave, while Louis Walsh could lose one – or both – of his groups, Only The Young and Stereo Kicks.

And Simon Cowell will surely try to ensure all three of his remaining acts – Ben Haenow, Fleur East and Stevi Ritchie – remain safe.

The second double elimination comes after the Halloween-themed Fright Night weekend, when Jack Walton and Lola Saunders were given the boot.

David Guetta will perform on the Saturday show, which will see the contestants taking on Whitney Houston or Elton John tracks.

Andrea, the only contestant left in Mel’s Boys group, will get to show off his killer vocals for Whitney’s I Have Nothing, while Cheryl’s Lauren Platt will offer her rendition of Whitney’s How Will I Know?

Ben and Fleur are to sing Whitney’s I Will Always Love You and I’m Every Woman respectively, as Stevi takes on I’m Still Standing.

Louis’ acts Only The Young and Stereo Kicks will perform Elton tracks, with the quartet singing Something About The Way You Look Tonight and the boy band giving their rendition of Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.

Meanwhile, Stevi, who survived the sing-off opposite Jay James, reckons his time is up on the ITV talent competition.

He told RadioTimes.com: “Whether it’s Saturday or Sunday, I’ll be one of the ones that goes this weekend.”
