Former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton says she feels like she is “on happy pills” after the birth of her son Ernie.
The broadcaster is busy having French lessons to prepare for a move to France after her rugby player husband, Richie Myler, signed for Catalan Dragons.
She told Hello! Magazine she could not believe how much she was enjoying motherhood after Ernie was born on June 19.
She said: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.
“I didn’t think I would love it as much as I do. It’s 10 times better than I expected.
“I feel like I’ve been on happy pills ever since Ernie was born. When my friends with babies used to tell me how they spent their days, I couldn’t imagine liking it. But it’s brill.”
Skelton said the move to Perpignan in southern France in November was the family’s next adventure.
She said: “We’re both taking French lessons. It’s exciting, but also a bit weird to be moving to a different country with another language.”
