Glee's Lea, Cory win awards in LA

Lea Michele and Cory Monteith made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Do Something Awards in Los Angeles.

The Glee co-stars and real life lovebirds snuggled up and posed for pictures together as they arrived at the glitzy ceremony, which was held to honour people who work to change the world for the better.

Cory and Lea - who have been dating for some time but have never walked a red carpet together as a couple - both picked up gongs in the TV Star Male and Female categories.

The actress, who dazzled in a ruffled, silver Giorgio Armani dress, tweeted after the event: "So excited to have just won a DO SOMETHING AWARD!!!! Thank you to everyone at VH1 and @dosomething!! #dosomethingawards2012."

Other winners included Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon, Will.i.am, TV presenter Giuliana Rancic and Ben Affleck, who was honoured for his work on The Eastern Congo Initiative.

One Direction, Twilight's Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed, and Hollywood star Will Ferrell were among the celebs who attended the awards.
