Green-fingered volunteers are sought for practical help to clear the ponds of Esher Common.
A countryside team is seeking volunteers for scrub clearance work around Black Pond on Wednesday, April 30.
The group will meet from 10am to 3.45pm, with equipment, tea and biscuits provided.
A countryside ranger will also be on hand to answer questions on the task and how it will improve the environment.
Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for leisure, said: “Taking part in the countryside events is a great way to learn about the immense variety of flora and fauna that we are lucky to have locally.”
