Charlie Brooks is to make a cameo in a CBBC show, acting alongside her nine-year-old daughter.

The former EastEnders actress will appear in an episode of BBC children's drama The Dumping Ground, which will also feature her real-life daughter Kiki, according to WhatsOnTV.com.

Charlie will play Stephanie Branston, who is looking to foster a child with her footballer husband, while nine-year-old Kiki plays Maude, the daughter of one of the other couples attending a fostering day at the children's home.

The Dumping Ground is a Bafta-award winning spin-off of The Story of Tracy Beaker, based on the books by Jacqueline Wilson.

Other guest stars are set to feature in the third series, including Neil Morrissey, former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning, Outlaw's Ray Emmet Brown, Casualty's Martina Laird, Dai Bradley and Dallas Campbell from Bang Goes The Theory.

Men Behaving Badly star Neil will play Keith, Johnny's abusive step-father.

Having previously left his family, Keith returns and threatens the domestic stability that Johnny's mother has created for Johnny, Tee and her new baby Hope.
