Former boyband star JB Gill says he cannot wait to introduce his new son to life on the family farm.

The JLS singer and his wife Chloe had their son, Ace Jeremiah, a month ago and are back at home in rural Kent.

He told Hello! Magazine: "The name Ace means 'one who excels', and I want him to be the best he can be in as many things as possible.

"There's already so much I'm looking forward to doing with him, like taking him horse riding and out on the farm feeding the pigs.

"I want him to try gymnastics, running, rugby, football, skiing - all the things we've been fortunate to experience. There's so much out there to learn about and I can't wait to show him.

"What I'm really excited about is when Ace is old enough to enjoy the farm, too.

"I can't wait to get him his first pair of wellies and get him mucking out the pigs with me. We'll send him down to pick fresh eggs for breakfast.

"It's such a lovely life for a kid here. There's so much for him to learn and experience, and I can't wait to be part of that - me and my boy."

Chloe went through a 40-hour labour and ended up having an emergency Caesarean after doctors discovered the umbilical cord was wrapped around their son's neck.

She said: "We both had such a clear picture in our minds of how the birth would be so, although you have to do what's best for you and the baby, it was a massive shock - something that only really hit me when we were driving home from hospital.

"I started crying and I couldn't stop and I just kept saying to J over and over, 'I can't believe what we've just been through'."

But she has had some help - and advice - from Rochelle Humes , the wife of JB's former JLS bandmate Marvin.

Chloe said: "She had a Caesarean, too, so has been wonderful at giving me advice and tips. She couldn't wait to get her hands on Ace. She was like, 'I have to see him,' and wants us to keep sending her photos."
