After weeks of speculation, debates and petitions surrounding the possible firing of Jeremy Clarkson, today the BBC finally released their verdict on the infamous “fracas”.

The broadcaster announced it would not be renewing Jeremy’s contract on the popular motoring show Top Gear but wished him well on his next endeavours.

The news was met by a barrage of mixed reactions, including writer and former Conservative MP Louise Mensch who weighed in on Jeremy’s dismissal, labelling it the product of a “wimpy” and “effeminate” culture.

Many of those on Twitter were incredulous of her remarks, with a fellow journalist, Laura Marcus, challenging Louise on her views on violence in the workplace…

Louise condoned the act as long as the culprit and victim were evenly matched and not much harm was done.

We’re not sure she quite won the argument though…

Others waded in on the Twitter debate, again attempting to clarify the Sun contributor’s questionable remarks…

Louise’s response?
