Today is International Missing Children’s day, and the charity Missing People have been pretty busy all day spreading awareness of missing children around the globe.

Every year, the charity runs a social media campaign called The Big Tweet, where they urge people to retweet the details of missing children. They hope that by reaching more people through Twitter, the chances will increase of reuniting the 140,000 children in the UK who go missing every year with their families.

A number of bigshot celebs have jumped on board with the campaign, including Simon Cowell, who has been retweeting all day and urging his 12 million followers to do the same.

Stephen Fry also lent his Twitter to the cause, bringing Cowell and Fry’s combined reach to 22 million.

Other famous faces also shared their support.
