Justin Bieber will be back on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend for the first time since 2010.

MTV announced that the 21-year-old singer will be performing his new single What Do You Mean? from his forthcoming album at Sunday’s extravaganza at the Microsoft Theatre in LA.

Justin last appeared at the VMAs five years ago with a medley of his hits Baby, Somebody to Love and U Smile.

He welcomed the news with a jokey tweet featuring this year’s host Miley Cyrus and some special nipple pasties.

Other performers at the 2015 event will include The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly, A$AP Rocky, Twenty One Pilots and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Miley is one of the celebrity pals who have been helping Justin count down to the release of What Do You Mean?

Justin has also been talking about the song and about trying to improve his image in a new interview.

Us Weekly revealed that, in a chat with radio host Elvis Duran, he said: “I just want to be around people who I feel are supporting me, uplifting me, and making sure I’m the best version of myself because there are so many people in this industry who just want to keep seeing me fall.”

He also said he was trying to be more careful about who he trusts.

“I’ve trusted people who I probably shouldn’t have trusted before and they’ve hurt my heart,” he admitted to Duran. “I’m a pretty sensitive guy, so I’ll lay it all on the line, and they’ll kind of pull it. So now I’m figuring out there’s certain people I can’t do that with.”
