Earth-shaking news! Kevin Bacon is set to revive his iconic 90s movie Tremors, bringing the man-eating worms to the small screen.

The 1990 American Western film follows the tale of an isolated small town called Perfection, where strange underground creatures are murdering the inhabitants one by one.

The actor played Valentine McKee in the original movie, which also starred Reba McEntire and Michael Gross.

The film was followed by a string of low-budget sequels, and Michael returned to the story when Tremors was adapted into a Syfy channel TV series in 2003, playing survivalist and worm-killer Burt Gummer.

However, this is the first time Kevin has returned to face the underground monsters.

Earlier this year, Kevin told the Metro: “Part of what’s great about that movie is there are next to no digital effects. The monsters are done with puppetry, and it’s still off, funny and scary – it’s a cool accomplishment.”

He then added: “I’d love to do something else with Tremors and revisit the character 25 years later.”

Kevin is set to be an executive producer, as well as the lead actor on the TV show.
