Snow White and her prince spoke of their high hopes for the pantomime just hours before going on stage for the first show.

Stars from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, were interviewed by Epsom Guardian reporter Alice Foster before the pantomime opened at Epsom Playhouse today.

Channel 5 presenter Bryn Lucas, who is playing the prince described as a ‘sophisticated ladies man,’ is making a return after being Dick Wittington two years ago.

Lucas said: "I had such a nice time two years ago it was a no brainer.

"It’s looking really good and the show is going to be fantastic.

"The cast are all a really, really good bunch."

Actress Charlotte Steen, who is playing Snow White, said: "We are all really excited.

"Hopefully it’s going to be a great show. We are all having an absolute blast backstage."

Ms Steen, who studied at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, is taking part in the We Will Rock You world arena tour in January.

John Spillers, producer of the pantomime said: "We are delighted to be returning once again to this well-run professional theatre.

"It is one of our favourite venues and we are looking forward to performing for new and previous audiences."
