Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads is coming to Sutton.

The production, by Sutton Amateur Dramatic Club, was written in 1987 for BBC television.

Talking Heads promises to provide an entertaining and poignant theatrical experience through a series of monologues.

In A Chip in the Sugar, Graham reveals the relationship he has with his elderly and dependent mother.

Susan shows herself to be rather more than the selfless wife of a vicar in her monologue – Bed Among the Lentils.

Public-spirited citizen Miss Ruddock is not quite what she seems in her monologue – A Lady of Letters.

Finally, in Her Big Chance, Lesley makes us painfully aware of her naivety.

Director, Will Harris, says: “Alan Bennett has put all his wit and wisdom into these portraits of characters in crisis.

“Funny, charming but very emotive, they show real rounded people in the raw.

“I am delighted to be working with four such experienced actors, who can take on the challenge of appearing alone on stage and give portrayals of such depth and warmth.”
