"These poems, with their crudities, doubts and confusions are written for a love of man and in praise of God, and I'd be a damn fool if they weren't" wrote Dylan Thomas.
The Path to Milk Wood, coming to Epsom Playhouse this month, tells the story of the erratic career of the poet and playwright Thomas.
Best known for his radio play Under Milk Wood, which featured on Radio 4 last month, Thomas has remained popular since his death in 1953, aged 39.
He had sent a draft of the play to the BBC with the intention of sending a revised manuscript after his return, but tragically he died in New York before being able to complete the play.
This presentation by Colin Pinney aims to uncover the private life of Thomas, his career and his final struggle with the "eternally infernally unfinished play."
