Zippo’s Circus is returning to south London – and this year it has extra catitude.

To celebrate its 30th year on the road, Britain’s favourite circus is bringing a line-up that includes actual acrobatic cats, or acrocats.

Heading over from France, it will be the first time Roseline and her family of pet cats have performed their display in the UK, packed with agility, balance, comedy and cuteness.

Zippo’s is also bringing Boris Borissov and his pure white heavy horses to town, with their display of equestrian skills, juggling and acrobatics on horseback.

Alongside the animal attractions, there’s Brazilian trapeze artist Alex Michael, Czech husband and wife knife-throwing duo Toni and Nikol, and Duo Galaxy who perform the terrifying Wheel of Death.

Clowns, jugglers, tumblers and cheeky performing budgerigars bring a light touch to the show.

Zippo’s Circus is at Blackheath from today until April 5, Brockwell Park from April 6 to 12, Figge’s Marsh in Mitcham from April 28 to May 3, Streatham Common from May 19 to 22, Sidcup Place from May 23 to 25 and Beddington Park in Wallington from May 26 to 31.
