A play exploring the unpredictability of love is being performed at Theatre503 to coincide with Valentine's Day.

Mathematics of the Heart is a new piece of theatre by Kefi Chadwick and gives audiences an insight into the love-life of Dr Paul MacMillan.

Dr MacMillan, a professor of chaos theory, finds his life grinding to a halt a month after the death of his father.

But events begin to get even more complicated with the arrival of beautiful PhD student Zaniab, whilst his brother Chancer shows up to occupy the spare room.

Add to the mix his girlfriend Emma pushing for a future and the unearthing of a surprise possession of the dearly departed.

The play aims to take a funny and tender look at what happens when love does not quite add up.

Kefi Chadwick has already impressed audiences in Brighton, with the play scooping the Brighton Fringe Festival New Writing award last year.

Mathematics of the Heart is on at Theatre503, The Latchmere, Battersea Park Road from February 7 to March 3.

Tickets cost £14 and £9 for concessions.
