The cast for this year’s pantomime has been revealed, with soap stars, kids TV presenters and the UK’s tallest man all on the bill.
Laila Morse, known to millions as Mo Harris from Eastenders heads the cast for this year’s Jack and the Beanstalk as the Fairy, with CBeebies presenter Sid Sloane cast in the hero’s role of Jack.
Morse, who has played Mo in the gritty soap since 2000, has also had a number of film appearances including in her brother Gary Oldman’s 1997 classic Nil By Mouth. She also featured in the last series of Dancing on Ice.
Croydon panto regulars who enjoyed the stunning performance of Aladdin last year will also be delighted to hear of the return of Quinn Patrick, whose filthy wit as Widow Twankey stole the show.
Quinn will once again have the task of playing a barely believable woman, Dame Trott, complete with a wardrobe of outrageous costumes to rival Lady Gaga.
Sharing the giggle stakes will be comedian Herbie Adams as Jack’s brother Billy Trott.
A panto lives of the success of its baddie and if bigger is better than Croydon has the best show in the land.
Neil Fingleton, at 7ft 7.56 inches is the tallest man in the UK, and so very well qualified to play the giant.
Fingleton, who has previously tried his hand at professional basketball , before launching his acting career, is joined by evil henchman Fleshcreep, Jay Worthy.
Love interest Gemma Sutton, the Princess, brings a wealth of West End experience after appearing in Legally Blonde, and is sure to set many a heart a flutter.
With great dancing, music and songs, comedy, audience participation, beautiful costumes and sets, amazing special effects, and not forgetting Daisy the break-dancing pantomime Cow, Jack and the Beanstalk is set to make your Christmas magical.
Jack and the Beanstalk, Fairfield Halls, opens on December 7 January 6. Tickets at £16.50, concessions available, to order visit www.fairfield.co.uk or call 0208 688 9291.
