Fire crews in Purley were called to a car fire this morning.
The fire, in wooded area on Plough Lane, near the Roundshaw estate was reported by a member of the public at 6.40am.
Firefighters from Purley fire station had the fire under control within 30 minutes.
Crew manager John Whiley said nobody had to be rescued from the vehicle.
