Police arrested three men for theft and going equipped to steal after stopping a BMW car.

On Tuesday, October 23, officers were taking part in operation Cubo to combat uninsured and unlicensed drivers.

PC Donna Williams was part of a Safer Neighbourhoods team at a roadside checkpoint and spotted a BMW 3 series travelling from Banstead towards Sutton on the A217.

The vehicle was directed to stop and officers found a games console, games, a laptop, credit cards, spanners, screwdrivers, a blow torch, walkie-talkies and headgear with lamps.

Three men have been charged with burglary and remanded in custody to appear at Redhill Magistrates Court.
