Steve Thorne gets tradesman award from Screw-Fix
A Sutton tradesman has been crowned the best in London.
From over 3,000 entries, Stephen Thorne, has been named the top tradesman in the capital and is now through to the grand final of a competition to find the best in the country.
Mr Thorne, who trades under the name Telelec, will now battle it out with nine other finalists from across the country to be crowned Britain’s Top Tradesman 2012, and win a brand new van, worth up to £27,000.
The panel praised Mr Thorne for his 25 years experience and commitment to helping young electricians find work by regularly offering apprenticeships and work placements where he can.
Mr Thorne, pictured with his children, said: "My kids are why I work so hard."
