A primary school won second place in a national green awards scheme.
Cheam Fields Primary School brought in new practises to reduce its energy consumption by 20 per cent.
It was named runner-up in the Eco School Team of the Year prize at the National Association of School Business Management Awards.
Nicky Gillhespy, the school’s Business Manager, said: “This is a tribute to the hard work of the staff and students.
"We are all very proud of what we have achieved so far, but we are still determined to do even more.”
