Students got chance to visit the Treasury after they raised £1,000 for charity.
On October 25, five young people from Sutton Grammar School for Boys were presented with a Giving Nation Social Action Award by Lord Wallace of Saltaire.
The group were also given £500 after they raised £1,000 for PEAS (Providing Equality in African Schools) through a 10km walk.
Giving Nation is a project run by the Citizenship Foundation, which is funded by the Cabinet Office, Santander and the Social Action Fund.
The programme challenges young people to give their time, effort and energy to support the causes they feel passionately about.
