Helicopter, dogs and CCTV help arrest men in Croydon following Beddington break-in
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a break-in at a Beddington window company in the early hours of this morning.
Officers tracked the suspects on CCTV after responding to a call in Red House Road at 1.50am. Two men were spotted in the area by an officer operating the borough's CCTV cameras at Sutton police station.
The police helicopter and the dog unit were used to help catch the two suspects - one was found in Galpin's Road, Croydon, the other was found in Wingate Crescent, also in Croydon.
Both men, a 22-year-old and a 32-year-old were arrested on suspicion of burglary and are in custody. The 32-year-old was additionally arrested on suspicion of assault on police and racial abuse.
Police recovered cash and a mobile phone. A cash box was also found in a search of the area.
