There will be a musical and street theatre extravaganza in the town centre this weekend.

On Saturday, December 8 Croydon’s Christmas Beat event will hit the streets as Croydon Business Improvement District put on another festive event.

North End and the surrounding area will be the setting for performances from some of the world’s best-known street entertainers.

Escapologist and acrobat, Rob Ray Collins will be headlining the list of street entertainers performing between 11am to 5pm. Also performing is juggler Dynamike and the popular Britain’s Got Talent duo, Faces of Disco.

The Croydon Christmas Beat event is the latest in a five-week long programme of entertainment being organised by Croydon BID with support from developer, Hammerson.

Croydon BID chief executive, Matthew Sims, said: “This is our fourth event in as many weeks and, once again, we are thrilled and delighted to have been able to secure so many talented and exciting performers to entertain visitors throughout the day.

“The public’s response to the entertainment provided to date has been tremendous.”
