Police have released images of a man wanted in connection with an assault that left a man with a hearing impairment.

The incident happened outside London Bridge station on November 16, at around 12.20am.

The victim a 44-year-old man from Croydon, was speaking to a taxi driver outside the station and another man was also trying to speak with the driver at the same time.

Unprovoked, the man pushed the victim to the ground twice, and hit him in the face.

The victim sustained a facial fracture, loss of sensation to his face and impairment to his hearing as a result of the assault.

Officers from British Transport Police have since identified a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.

The man is thought to have caught a train bound for Lewisham shortly after the assault.

Detective Constable Jane Hill said: "This was a particularly nasty assault on the victim who required hospital treatment for his injuries.

"If you know the man or have any information about the incident, we really want to hear from you."
