TV interior designer Linda Barker visited Crystal Palace this week to cast her discerning eye over traders' shopfronts as local firms vie to be crowned the area's most festive.
Linda, who made her name on the BBC programme Changing Rooms and has also starred on 60-Minute Makeover, was in town to judge the Best Christmas Shop Window of the Year competition.
Linda is to announce her favourite next week and locals can also plump for their favourite in the the People’s Window award, with one lucky voter winning £100 for their favourite charity.
Tim Sharville, chair of the Crystal Palace Chamber of Commerce, said: "As well as the Christmas windows competition which many of our traders have taken part in, local resident and director of Winkworth estate agents Calum Mason stepped in and saved the day by generously paying for the lights which now grace the Triangle.”
“2012 in Crystal Palace is truly a community Christmas”
The competition winners will be announced on Tuesday 18 December
