Children are invited to be healthy, creative and active with fun Shout! holiday activities as we leap in to the new year.

The programme will kick off on Wednesday, January 2, with a cookery course for five to eight year-olds who become junior Masterchefs as they prepare culinary delights for themselves and their families.

Young performers will tread the boards in their own production of a Cinderella pantomime at the Playhouse, Walton, on Thursday, January 3.

After rehearsing their lines, young stars will then put on a performance for their friends and family in the afternoon.

Children will be able to ring in the New Year on Friday, January 4, with a disco, nibbles and party games.

Councillor Jan Fuller, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, says: “Whether your children enjoy cooking, acting or dancing, there is plenty to choose from and once again at a very reasonable cost.

“It looks as if the Christmas fun will definitely run well into the New Year with Shout! so make sure your children don’t miss out.”
